In October, my town was liberated from ISIS, and some of the residents eventually went back. There was nothing left in my house, not even the children’s beds, but one of my neighbours found my photo album and some individual photos scattered in the street, so he collected them and sent them to me.
This is one of the only memories I have from my home country.

Wow, what a precious find and a good friend. I’m sorry for all that you have lost and am glad that you have been able to find safety in Australia. Welcome ????????
I can’t even imagine what you have all gone through. Thank goodness for your kind neighbour. You have a precious physical memory ❤️
I can’t imagine loosing so much of your past. I pray that this photograph can be the base for a collection of new memories. God bless????
I’m so sorry that you have very little of your roots left Mukhles, to remind you of what home used to be like. Hold on to those precious memories, they are worth their weight in gold. It’s hard starting a new life in a new country…and you haven’t been here long at all. Wishing you all the best as you step into a brand new chapter of your life xx
I hope you will make many more wonderful memories in the future
Welcome ????
